Reviews

You’ll love having a Rhino in your garden too, it’s the perfect environment for your plants and looks beautiful. We care about quality, which is why each Rhino is strong and safe enough for your family.

Each Rhino is manufactured here in the UK. We pride ourselves on selling direct to the customer which allows us to provide great value at an affordable price.

Louvre Vents & Automatic Roof Ventilation

Included as standard with the Rhino Premium 6x10 greenhouse:

  • 2 Triple Roof Vents
  • 3 Side Louvre Vents
  • 4 Automatic Roof Vent Openers
  • Storm Locks

To aid development of your plants and crops we try to fit our Rhino Premium greenhouses with as much roof ventilation as possible. This means that our Rhinos are some of the  most ventilated greenhouses in their class today. All our roof vents are controlled by solar-powered automatic vent openers so you don't have to worry about remembering to open and close them.

Vents on our Rhino Premiums are also fitted with storm locks, allowing vents to be secured down in a storm or windy conditions. The addition of storm locks allows the the entire structure to be made airtight.

It's important to remember to disengage the vents before putting the storm locks into position, to avoid causing any damage to the openers.

The 6x10 Rhino Premium also includes high quality Rhino five-blade louvre vents. These louvre vents allow you to take complete control of your ventilation, allowing cool air to enter from the side, circulate up through the greenhouse forcing air to escape through the roof vents.

Adequate ventilation is absolutely crucial to successful growing under glass. There is not another greenhouse on the market that has more ventilation than a Rhino. Better still, it's all included in the price.

We've produced a handy guide explaining why ventilation is so important and how to optimize your greenhouse temperature.

4mm Toughened Glass - strong and safe

Keep yourself and your family safe with Rhino's combination glazing system: Toughened Safety Glass and Rubber Glazing Beads. Perfect for exposed locations and families with young children and pets.

Strength and peace of mind is important to us which is why Rhino Tuff 44m toughened safety glass comes as standard with every Rhino greenhouse. Our Rhino Tuff glass is 33% thicker than most greenhouse glass. Each pane is designed with safety in mind, while breakages are less likely, if a pane does break, the glass will shatter into tiny pieces rather than big shards - helping reduce the risk of injury.

This Grade A glass provides the maximum light to your plants and each pane of our glass has rounded edges so that you don't cut yourself during installation.

The unique Rhino glazing system locks each pane of glass in place along its entire length, using long rubber beads. The glass cannot be blown or sucked out of the frame and pushing on the glass only locks the beads more tightly into the frame, making it ideally engineered for high winds and other extreme weather conditions. With Rhino's glazing method, each pane becomes integral to the strength of the whole frame. The Premium range also features box-section glazing bead for even greater stability.

When compared with the glazing that comes as standard on most greenhouses, the Rhino ranges come up trumps every time. No dangerous horticultural glass or flimsy W-clips here; and with the smooth finish achieved by our glazing beads, there's no need for bar capping either.

Strong Frame - great wind resistance

We wouldn’t sit on the roof if a Rhino wasn’t so strong! Indeed, it’s why we named them Rhino. Every single Rhino is engineered for strength and stability, making it perfectly adapted for extreme weather and exposed locations - many customers choose a Rhino specifically for this reason, and often hear that they have withstood storms and very strong gales (up to 137mph, so far). Whether you're in the Outer Hebrides or the Channel Islands, our Rhinos make secure growing locations, no matter the weather.

Each Rhino frame has around 60% more aluminum than similarly priced models. But it’s not just the weight, it’s the clever design of the Rhino that provides its inherent strength. There are 3 key factors that contribute the strength of the Rhino range:

  1. Strong T-section bracing
  2. An integral base
  3. The Rhino Tuff glazing system

The Rhino Premium features even stronger T-section bracing replacing the more traditional tubular bracing; positioned at every strut of the framework of the eaves and ridge of the the greenhouse, you can be confident in the security of the structure. The integral base and Rhino Tuff glazing system also add to the overall strength, creating a solid and airtight framework from the top of the roof to the ground.

We’ve tested the snow loading capacity of a Rhino by putting half a tonne of sand bags on the roof, so it's ready for whatever the Great British weather may throw at it.

Integral Base – stronger and great access

Included in the price of every Rhino Greenhouse is a strong aluminum base. This base not only provides an incredibly strong foundation but it also allows our greenhouses to be erected onto firm, level soil if you wish.

Once The Rhino is erected, strong stainless steel ground anchors are concreted into position.

Soil isn't the only base material you can use though. Our Rhinos can also be erected onto hardstanding concrete pads or paving slabs. Stainless steel anchors and fixings can be provided as well.

Everyone should be able to own and make use of a greenhouse which is why every Rhino now comes with a low threshold door and ramp built into the price. Eliminating a trip hazard and on the 8,10 and 12ft wide models providing plenty of width for a wheelchair or wheelbarrow to enter.

Hanging Basket Rails

Every Rhino greenhouse comes with two hanging basket rails.

The roof is so strong that it can easily handle this extra load, and it’s a really useful feature. Your hanging baskets will thrive and it will also free up lots of space on your staging.

Rainwater Collection

Every Rhino greenhouse also comes with large integral gutters as well as downpipes and bends so you can collect and use the natural rainwater that your plants love.

25 Year Guarantee – they're that good

Nothing says more about the quality of a Rhino greenhouse than our 25 Year Guarantee.

A generation of gardeners can rest assured that the frame and even the powder coated color finish are covered, in the unlikely event that the greenhouse fails.

Base Preparation

Our Rhino greenhouses offer great flexibility when it comes to base options. Unlike most other greenhouse brands, our Rhinos can be erected on soil. This is only due to the strength created by its sturdy base and framework. As long as it is level and fully compacted, in most situations soil is the perfect solution.

Alternatively, hardstanding bases are also suitable. As long as they're smooth and level, paving slabs, concrete bases and brick or block perimeter plinths can also be used.
